    “are we allowed to take photographs?” literaly means SE NOS PERMITE TOMAR FOTOGRAFIAS? and it´s a correct form, yo can also say PODEMOS TOMAR FOTOGRAFIAS? that means “can we take photographs? both are correct. in the way she says: SOMOS PERMITIDOS TOMAR FOTOGRAFIAS? you will not be understood most likely.
