I have nothing to do this summer (two months) and I want to try something new. Im part spanish and i dont know a word of it! Any suggestions to where i can find some lessons online for free? I’ve learned latin and focusing on grammer rather than phrases first helps me more. Any suggestions?

gracias in advance haha :)

A very good idea to acquire a knowldedge in Spanish language during the summer. I give you the list of free online sources, well structured and very useful in learning Spanish:

http://www.spanicity.com

http://www.studyspanish.com

http://www.lingolex.com/spanish.htm

Oh well have I got as place for you: EDUFIRE! ( edufire.com ) one of my favorite sites and is easy to navigate, you can take free online classes there that are live! You can also get a tutor if you want and there are quite a few begginer classes there too ^_^

    Buena suerte aprender Espanol!

I’m going to give you multiple ideas, hopefully, you’ll achieve the level of Spanish you want with these suggestions. :]

*You could also buy some flashcards to go over words over and over again, till you know the words 100%. When I used flashcards, I put them in categories, like: colors, furniture, clothes, school items, etc. If you can’t make your own, there are already pre-made ones here: http://www.byki.com/

*Try watching some learning videos on Youtube, there are lots of people out there helping people speak the language. http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=AFF0DC56FE659D14&search_query=spanish

*Watch the Spanish channels, and find a show/telenovela to watch, also try listening to the music.

*If you own a Nintendo DS(I think it also is out on the Wii, though I think the DS would be better since you can carry it around with you), like I do, you can buy the game My Spanish Coach. It’s got 100s of lessons for Spanish and fun games to make learning Spanish enjoyable. You can check it out here, I recommend it if you get bored easily. http://www.amazon.com/My-Spanish-Coach-Nintendo-DS/dp/B000SQ5LOQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1245508373&sr=8-1

*Go to the book store/library/order some books online, that are written in Spanish, either a book you’ve never read or one you have, so if you’re struggling you know what’s still going on.

    Enjoy learning Spanish!

Dont bother using the free stuff they are garbage and can only teach you so much. I had to take an advanced spanish class for college and I picked up a copy of Rocket Spanish and it works better then any of those free sites I’ve tried. The link to the site is below if your curious.
