if you want to learn fluent spanish, you will not be able to do so from just a book. (unless it comes with audio.)
your best bet would be to get a copy of pimsleur spanish, or michel thomas spanish (both audio courses). seriously the best ways to learn a language i have found (i also hear rosetta stone is great). because of these CDs, i can get by in italian, japanese, hindi, and spanish, and native speakers always comment on how good my pronunciation is.

Rosetta Stone is the best leaning system. Little bit expensive but it is worth the money.
It has interactive CD that help you with pronunciation.

You say that you have two hours a day? Go to your local community college and just pay for the course. You will never become fluent from only a book.
After you’ve invested the money in courses (you should get to at least level three), travel to a Spanish speaking country and immerse yourself in the language for at least two weeks. I personally recommend three months (at least), but if you’re pressed for time, try a month.
Buena suerte
good luck

no books, they don’t teach how to pronounce the words. best thing to do is find a hispanic friend, being around it and understanding even a little and you pick up quick

There are too many books to choose from. However, you can find free resources to start your journey.
Once you learn bits and pieces and you ensure you like the language you’re about to learn, then you can commit to buying courses, books, or whatever other media you choose to advance your skills in that language.
I also like the idea of attending to a community college for a quick immersion in the course. That way, you also get to interact with other like-minded people, and they’ll keep you interested in Spanish.
For a gentle and friendly guide to learning Spanish, you can visit Learn-Spanish-Amigos.com. The site is young, but new materials are being added every week.

Find a good language program that suits you. There are many popular language courses where you can train online. The benefits of this type of learning is that you can do some fun interactive exercises that you can´t get from a book.
Most of these offers the option to download the lessons to a cd or mp3 player so that you can practice whenever you have some free time.
If you want to learn a program quickly it´s really important that you are having fun while learning. Rocketspanish, Visual Link and Rosetta Stone all seem to be popular.
