How well can I learn spanish in a week?

I have been speaking basic Spanish for 4 years and have just now recently been speaking more of it. I have the accent down and the letters of the alphabet. How much Spanish could I learn if I spent a week of just immersing my self in it. Is it possible for me to speak fluently? By the way the place where I work there are Spanish speaking people, so I would have people to converse with. Thanks!

I’m afraid you wouldn’t achieve much in a week, certainly nothing like enough to call yourself fluent. If you are working, then it’s unlikely you could immerse yourself for more than 30 hours in the week, which is only 10% of the time required by a gifted learner to gain a working knowledge of the language.

YOU COULD LEARN BASIC SPANISH IN A WEEK, ENOUGH TO GET YOU AROUND IN MEXICO, IF YOU APPLY YOURSELF AND STUDY HARD. GO FOR OUT, YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE!

If you are not fluent after speaking it for four years I highly doubt you can become fluent in a week.
