    She does this because it’s important to learn the article with the word. I know that this may not make sense to a native speaker, but this is how it’s taught.

    verduras is more “informal”. I mean, verduras means something similar to green leafs like cabbage and lettuce and similar stuff but people tend to sometimes call verduras to all vegetables

    Well, it’s never supposed to be pronounced like the English “v.” However, after the first position it may or may not be pronounced as a “fricative b” sound. This varies from dialect to dialect too. In New Mexico, it is pronounced like an English “v.”
