Learn Spanish imageOne of the best investments in yourself today is to learn Spanish. It doesn’t matter if you’re going on a trip to a Spanish speaking country, looking for a new job, or are a business owner. All will benefit tremendously who learn to speak Spanish. Knowing a second language is a prized and sought-after skill.

The first reason for learning Spanish language or any foreign language is that it presents the opportunity to earn more money and opens the door to better job opportunities. Here’s on example: If you work in a hospital with many Spanish speaking patients, how can you accurately communicate with them in administering care? Lack of precise communication can lead to lawsuits. Here’s another example: What if you are up for promotion in your company but one of the requirements is that you have the ability to speak to a group of Spanish speaking employees in order to manage them?

The second reason is that of the perception of increased intelligence. It’s socially accepted that a person who speaks a second language is perceived to be more intelligent than those who do not have this skill. The majority of Europeans not only speaks their native language but also speak English as well as other foreign languages. That’s one reason why Americans are perceived to be less intelligent than Europeans.

The third reason to learn how to speak Spanish is that you will have more opportunities socially. You’ll make new friends which will expand your opportunities for business and you’ll be invited to more social and business activities.

The last reason to learn beginner Spanish is the increased enjoyment and opportunities you’ll get when traveling. For instance, if you go to Cancun, you can more effectively barter with vendors to get better deals on products that you want to bring home. What if you have a medical emergency? The medical staff would greatly benefit if you could speak their language. Also, you’ll get much better service in restaurants and stores when you can read menus, signs, and other directions.

So here are the four reasons to learn Spanish that we just covered:

Ok so I want to learn spanish but cant find any good books or videos. What is the best video or book to help learn spanish from english. Thanks.

I use Rosetta Stone which is a CD that shows you simple pictures like girl, boy, cat, dog, and etc. Then it says a word out loudd in spanish and you have to match it with the picture. It’s really easy and you can learn a lot from it. Or you can use the text & work book for Glencoe that isn’t as easy, but it has a lot of pictures which makes it fun. Hope this helps!

I’m currently in spanish 2 at school and would like to know if there was an easier way to learn spanish along with school. I heard looking at spanish news. With all the verbs and parts of speech, how did you all learn to speak it fluently, and how long did it take?

What grade are you in. If you are college level, apply to a Spanish University and do immersion program.

Not only will you learn but actually live in the culture.

What is the best way to learn Spanish?

I am planning on traveling abroad and i really want to learn Spanish enough to speak fluently. I took two years of Spanish in middle school but it did nothing but give me some vocabulary knowledge. I looked at Rosetta Stone but it costs way too much. What is the best software to learn Spanish, especially Latin American, that won’t cost a fortune?

Go to a Spanish speaking country! or, go to anyplace that teaches English as a second language and talk to the students anout speaking Spanish with you. Watch Spanish television, like Sabago Gigante or any of them. Read Spanish newspapers that are always in Spanish markets or stores. Listen to the Spanish TV on programs such as I have named, because there is no plot to follow and you can get an idea of the meaning of words. It may be difficult , because in Spanish it is not spoken as English is spoken here, In Spanish, the words are supposed to flow into each other, whaer as here we enunciate each syllsbyle. In Spanish a consonant at the end of a word is not stressed as it is in English. That is why Spanish speakers have a problem with words like has,, had and have. They do not concentrate on the hesitant stop in English and prefer to have the words flow. Also, go to the library and it is free to check our Spanish courses. Just listen until it becomes familiar to you. You can learn vocabularly in many ways, books, CDs, etc. If you start to speak, the Spanish are very helpful and are complimented that you have made an effort. You don’t need to know how to give the Gettysburg address. I speak Spanish and when I don’t have the word, "Yo invento" or say several words and it works. My grammar is terrible, but I say " Yo no hablo Espanol, pero yo no tengo gramatica, pero yo mucho gusto hablar Espanol. Y yo no conoco bastante palabras!!! Just talk and listen you are younger than I am and have more time! Muy bueno
